Gobo - Turn of the Screw
This image from a production of “The Turn of The Screw” uses a very vivid pattern of an elaborate window. The small openings of light add to the confining, austere atmosphere which works for a gothic story. This mood also coordinates well with the costume and other lighting choices for this scene.
I really like how realistic this gobo makes the atmosphere feel. It only covers a certain selection of the stage, and the color and intensity makes it accurately portray the feeling of a full moon through a window at night.
ReplyDeleteI like the use of this gobo as it seems to be using two as we had done in class, that being one to creater the lines through the window gobo. I also think that it was very successful at capturing the mood of the play as well.
