I like the use of cool toned gels during the preformance. I believe that it helped convey the true message of the song. I also liked the use of using while lights during the willow tree as willow trees are white. The fades and crosses during the song also was ideal cued such as when the lyric of the devil. I thought that the use of the blackout was also effective in convicting the song and creating drama in a new way that was not shown in other performances.
I like that you used the black out so often and made it another color in your piece. The contrast of the black out with the bright lights matched the music perfectly and was interesting to watch. Your cues were timed very well with the music and I liked that you changed the colors and speed of movement to reflect the music. You had a really strong design that matched your music well.
I like the color decisions in this project. The use of cooler colors such as purple and green effectively contrast the bright orange colors. This really helps elevate the lyrics and mood of the song. I also like the use of minimal lights per cue. The term “less is more” really applies here. I think it made the piece more intimate and brought life to the figurines. Well done!
