  1. You synchronized your light colors well, when the song mentioned ice and cold it was cold colors, and when it talked about leaving for somewhere else you had warm colors front lighting the models, nice. This composition fit the song like a glove, and I think as fledgling lighting designers finding the right light to put our subject into (in this case the song) is extremally valuable. Well done

  2. The fade at the beginning was good and unexpected, I figured the lights would just turn on, but the slow brightness looked great. The fade in and out with the bright color gave off the feel of confusion and carefree chaos. I also think the blackouts during the silence look good and helped clean the figures for the next lighting cues.

  3. I loved the beginning of the light show and how they slowly came up to build some tension prior to the dramatic light changes towards the end of the first verse. It matched the tone of the song very well and helped to carry on into the rest of the song as the lights changed more often with the music. I also loved the colors and how they matched the tone and lyrics of the song perfectly.

  4. When you blacked out the lights, it had a very dramatic effect, suited to moments such as after the end of the chorus. Similarly, when you chose to take out certain lights during the last few cues it signified the drama of the song ending as well. You also played with the effect of flickering the light alongside the flickering vocals, which I thought was very fun and suited the chaos of the song.

  5. I really enjoyed your use of blackouts—especially in a song as recognizable as this, they were great to build up audience anticipation. Your motifs matching the song were also well-executed and effective.
