The stage here is very well lit which gives the scene a carefree feeling, and this mood is supported by the action on the stage of the children swinging which is just a simple wholesome act.

I feel that the lighting in this scene is a bit weird and mysterious. The green in the background leads me to believe that something sinister or unnatural is going to happen, while the kids are obliviously swinging. I think it might be the props too, as the alphabet blocks surrounding them tower overhead menacingly...lol
ReplyDeleteI really like this lighting. I feel light and airy. It has a very positive mood. It's very whimsical and pleasing to the eye.
ReplyDeleteI really like the lighting in this scene because I agree that it creates a whimsical mood. I think that the use of very focused light from the back and sides was an interesting choice; however, I think that it achieves making the actors visible in a fun way. I really like that the bottom of the set is lit more brightly than the top, and I feel that this adds to the dream-like mood created by the lighting.
