The use of the Cyc light to illuminate the background to the extent of making the dancers into silhouettes would help to accentuate the movement of the dancers. The color of the light seems to hint a sunset on the savanna hand the tree's silhouette resembles an African tree so this might be from a rendition of the Lion King.

I really like the effect created by the backlighting. The silhouettes make the individual performers less of a focus and highlight movement of the dancers themselves, making it a very effective way to light a dance performance. The cyc lights grow lighter in color as they get closer to the ground, reminiscent of a sunset or sunrise. They are eye catching colors that grab your attention immediately.
