I love the lighting in your project and how it matched the song rhythm so well! I think that the warm bright colors matched the cheerful energy of the song. I liked how a lot of the lights that danced to the song came from above, as this created a heavenly and elevated fun mood. I also really liked the long fluid fade times, as these emphasized the melodic nature of the song.
This piece really plays well with the song as it highlights not one vocals but also the instrumentals of the piece. A very successful moment that I found in the piece was when the saxophone solo enters as you continue to provide light on all the figures, but increase the intensity of the saxophone players light thus directing the viewer to focus on that figure more compared to the others. Also your picks for the cyc lights I believe helped solidify the piece as it proved to be a useful tool to make transitions between the chorus and the verses more effective. I also loved the wide range of colors that you used in your piece and how well they all played with one another.
The colors you used fit very well with the with the upbeat tempo of the song. I particularly liked the pink and yellow combination you used on the Cyc light. The quick transitions were also well executed along to the beat of the song. Focusing the lights on the single character during the sax solo was nice as it helps isolate the sound.
I think you did an amazing job with everything. What stood out to me the most were the color choices and the uses of the spotlights. The Colors were very relaxing and fitting with a laid back song such as this, with not many intense and "in-your-face" kind of colors. Your spotlights and effects were great as well. The effect with the lights at the front of the stage going on and off and moving around made a dynamic atmosphere when the rest of the stage was still otherwise. Additionally, your fades were incredibly on point with the awooos of the song and it was very please to watch.
I loved the colors you chose for the song. The bright colors combined with the fast tempo and the quick light changes make a really interesting show to watch. I really enjoyed when the moving light fixtures were moving and the colors were changing at the same time, it felt like this was what you had been building up to for the rest of the performance. Your transitions were done really well and I think you matched the cue changes to the music perfectly.
