I love the lighting in this video because it helps the viewer to see the drama of the movements as well as impacts of the shape of the dancers. The use of such directional lighting (in this video mostly from the side) helps to emphasize the shapes these dancers make when moving their bodies. It is useful for helping dancers to look more dramatic and contrasting their movements to those around them. Overall I think this use of lighting in dance is successful.
