Too Intense Light

This photo is an example of bad lighting in a theater because of the intensity of the white spotlight put on the person. The figure standing on stage is supposed to be Jerry Seinfeld, but the multiple lights with high brightness covering him completely wash out the color and detail of his image, making him appear as just a pure white figure to people in the audience.

  1. This lighting is something I feel like should be easily avoided but is somewhat common. I have been watching theater before where there is too much light and I can't see facial expressions, one of the key elements of successful theater. The lighting in a show should be used to elevate the drama of a performance, the best lighting is that which isn't noticed in my opinion and using too much can potentially ruin an entire show.
