Movement in Light

In this video the movement of light is produce through rod LEDs. The lighting designer was able to create many types of movements with the lights but the must successful ones were when the lighting designer attempted to recreate the movement of rain or a bouncing ball. Another success within the lighting design was the forming a swirling movement along with a movement that expanded and retracted.

  1. I really liked the lights in this video. The led strips made it look like the same light was moving rapidly, which was exciting. And while I really liked the very organized patterns, the disorganized pattern with the twinkling lights was spectacular because it reminded me of an elevated twinkling night sky.

  2. Some of the patterns and effects that they were able to pull off were incredible. Not even just using the light on the strip itself, but by also changing the intensity of certain lights made the area around it more full or more empty. I had tried to incorporate an aspect like this into my Music project, although it wasn't as smooth as this
