The use of stage lighting in this video really enhances the feeling of the performers being a robot like group. The flashing lights also helped to hide their individual identities within the collective. Both of these things that they were trying to create.
The strobe light effect helped make the movements appear more quick which added to to the robot movement as you said. Also the light screens fell and rose as they did which amplified the motion.
ReplyDeleteI found it very interesting how the lights worked with the fog/smoke to create a scene of movement as well. With the people coming through the smoke and the strobe lights flashing, it really made it seem as if they were teleporting or leaping from place to place in an instant.
