I took this photo driving on the highway at dusk. The sunset created such a warm glow on the horizon, I had to capture the moment. The colors make me feel soothed.
I really like this photo because there are so many different aspects of color and light to focus on. You can look at the warm colors in the sky and the sunset as they give off a soothing vibe. Or there is the brighter and more vibrant headlights and taillights of the cars on the road (and even the lights on the dashboard) which make the photo feel so much more down to earth and real. It's as if the sunset puts you in a calm state of mind and then all the bright lights of reality snap you back into place.
The perspective of this photo adds a lot to it--it's almost two scenes in one, divided by a windshield. The sunset is very soothing, and its slow gradient containing many colors and shades contrasts against the car's interior, with only shadow and green lights.
