Directional Lighting

This picture was taken by a person doing a walk-through haunted house attraction. I think this picture shows good use of directional lighting because the blue light coming from the back of the subject frames his silhouette in a unique and scary way. I like how the backlighting allows the subject to appear powerful, blocking out one of the sole sources of light and cementing a sense of fright.

  1. With how foggy the environment is it really lets the light completes is job of creating a scary environment.

  2. I like that the backlighting draws your eye to the subject instantly. The blue light creates suspense and the shadows have an ominous effect.
