Directional Lighting, Shadow play

Taken July 2018 in Washington DC



This picture was and is still weird to see for me, I still question the existence of a person's shadow without a person. What to me is really cool about this setup is that it needs the light to come from an exact spot to get the right silhouette, and the right intensity of light to insure the shadow can be seen.

  1. The light in this photo instead of being the main player is now the supporting player in this photo which I find very interesting. It is not intense enough to ruin the image as it cannot be strong enough to go through the delicate paper. This light also holds a warmth as well as it reflects off the white wall and the light itself has a halo of orange around it.
