I think this photo of a flower is really interesting. The back light emphasizes its shape but also draws attention to the fuzzy surface of the flower, something that probably wouldn't have been as obvious had the light source been from a different direction. The light in this photo in particular is so interesting because of the way it calls attention to parts of the flower most people wouldn't have noticed, like the fuzz or the veins running through it.
The lighting on this flower is unique as it is not a position of lighting that we typically see when photographing florals. With this new light, aspects of the flowers that were typically ignored such as the delicateness of its fuzzy exterior is made clear. The light also seems to leak through the pod and create a new aura for the flower.
